Week 13 HS Football Playoff Recap – Class AAA

AAA

District 1

Interboro over West Chester Henderson, 14-12

Austin Quiah had a four-yard touchdown run and Nick Rentos hit Mark Everton for a 29-yard touchdown pass for Interboro. West Chester Henderson’s Chris Mitten rushed for two touchdowns. Interboro will play the District 12 Champions, Archbishop Wood.

District 2-11

Allentown Central Catholic over Abington Heights, 23-0

The Vikings senior running back Colin McDermott rushed for 259 yards and three touchdowns to lead ACC for the win. The defense pitched another shutout in the playoffs and have given up only six points in three games. Up next is Selinsgrove out of District four.

 

 

 

District 3

Bishop McDevitt over Lancaster Catholic, 27-7

McDevitt’s Quarterback Alec Werner had another huge night. He passed for 327 yards on 18 of 23 passing and two touchdowns. Tyrone Gibson had two catches for 105 yards and Brian Lemelle caught nine passes for 121 yards. Andre Robinson added 63 yards rushing. Lancaster Catholic’s Roman Clay finished his brilliant career with 97 yards rushing on 16 carries and one touchdown. Up next is West York for the District 3 3A title.

West York over Susquehanna Township, 31-7

West York used a balanced running attack rushing for 337 yards in the contest. Brock Snellbaker (20,107), James Joshnson (16, 89) and Steve Wilson (11, 85) led the way on the ground attack. Colby Grant’s 135 yard performance led Susquehanna Township. Up next is Bishop McDevitt.

 

 

District 4

Selinsgrove over University Prep, 41-14

Selinsgrove’s defense forced eight turnovers in the big win. Selinsgrove rushed for 325 yards. Mike Walter finished the game with 151 yards rushing on 21 carries and four touchdowns. Connor Leisenfeld rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns. Up next is the District 11 champions, Allentown Central Catholic.
