Schuylkill County Football Coaches Association set for annual All-Star game

North, South to square off Wednesday at Rotary Field

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa., Nov. 22, 2016: The Schuylkill County Football Coaches Association will present its annual North-South All-Star Game at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Rotary Field, Schuylkill Haven. This year’s South squad is sponsored by Army Recruiting (Team Army) and the North team is sponsored by Phoenix Rehabilitation and Health Services (Team Phoenix). Additional game sponsors include Minersville Auto Parts, Mystic Screen Printing and Embroidery, Schuylkill Valley Sports and the Schuylkill Haven Football Parents Club.

Team Army (South) is comprised of players from Blue Mountain, Minersville, Nativity BVM, Pine Grove, Pottsville, Schuylkill Haven, Tri-Valley and Williams Valley. Pottsville head coach Tom McGeoy and his staff will lead Team Army. Team Phoenix (North) includes players from Jim Thorpe, Lehighton, Mahanoy Area, Marian Catholic, North Schuylkill, Panther Valley, Shenandoah Valley and Tamaqua. Shenandoah Valley head coach Kevin Bolinsky and his staff will lead Team Phoenix.

Minersville senior Rielly Lonergan will sing the National Anthem. Eight PIAA officials from the Schuylkill Chapter have volunteered their time to officiate the contest: Jim Toomey, Mike Klembara, Jason Alisauckas, Doug LaScala, Mike Shinkus, Chris Robison, Matt Revenis and Mike Godynick.
