Avon Grove lost 28-7 to West Chester Henderson on Senior Night. This game showed mainly fourth-down conversion attempts instead of punts. Both offenses ran the ball so much that the game pace went faster.

Sophomore Matt Dinacci threw an eye-catching 45-yard touchdown pass to Noah Richard on a fourth down and seven for Henderson. Avon Grove got caught off-guard but punt returners Max Bordas and Austen Radecki ran fast like sprinters after noticing the Warriors going for it on fourth down.

Avon Grove quarterback Tanner Peck began his night running the ball. He then threw a 22-yard pass to junior Taylor Kim. He then threw an interception to Warrior defensive back Brian Armstrong in the end zone. Dinacci then ran an option with junior Noah Richard for a gain of 21 yards.

Henderson running back Tre Green began the second quarter with a 38-yard run. Green then ran a 2-yard touchdown for the Warriors.

Senior Austen Radecki broke away from a Warrior defender for a 28-yard kick return. Peck started the new drive with 11 yard run for the Red Devils. Peck then threw his second interception to Henderson senior Cody Lind.
Avon Grove senior Drew Saienni recovered a fumble by Henderson punter Steve Thompson.

On the next play, surprisingly Peck, who is 6’1″, was clobbered by sophomore Sam Vogel who is 5’11” for loss of 4 yards.

Peck rebounded and found senior John D’Aquanno for his next two passes. A fumble recovery by Henderson’s Noah Richard was called back due to a personal foul penalty.

Avon Grove senior Matt Lawrence intercepted a pass from Dinacci with 38 seconds left in the first half. Tanner Peck committed his third turnover by fumbling the ball with Henderson’s Brian White recovering.

Peck began the second half with a 15-yard pass to John D’Aquanno. Peck then threw an 11-yard pass to junior Taylor Kim. After being sacked by Henderson lineman Bryan White, Peck and the Red Devils were stopped on a fourth down conversion attempt.

Noah Richard scored a 79-yard touchdown for the Warriors to begin the fourth quarter. To fire back, Tanner Peck threw an astonishing 50-yard pass to Austen Radecki on the Red Devils’ next possession. The 50-yard gain from that pass resulted in a touchdown pass from Peck to Radecki.

Matt Dinacci had a 23 yard run followed by 14 yard run from Tre Green for the Warriors. Red Devil defensive end Michael Tipton then stopped a 6-yard run by Green a minute later. On Avon Grove’s next possession, Peck threw a 30-yard pass to junior Taylor Kim.

Noah Richard scored the victory-sealing touchdown for the Warriors. Avon Grove senior Jake Parola had a 13 yard run with nearly a minute left in the game. Henderson’s Brian Armstrong recorded his second interception with six seconds left in the game.
