2018 Outlook: Please let us know the keys about your team on offense, defense and special teams. What are your keys to having a successful year?

Offense:  From a year ago we have lost some key players that were very productive for us offensively.  This year our goal is developing our offense to be more versatile, utilizing a different type of athlete than what we have had in the past. We want to be both productive passing and running the football.  Like all teams it needs to start up front with the offensive line.

Defense: A core of our defense returns with players having starting experience 3 and 4 years.  We return a solid nucleus in our interior on the defensive line and at linebackers. Rockwell will be a 4-year starter at Corner Back. Players have been developing, and its essential to build a rotation defensively primarily with the guys up front.

Special Team:  We emphasize our coverage teams greatly.  Our punt coverage was very good last year due to a major part of Brandon Rockwell’s punting.  Our Kick-off team was adequate last year, but still looking for that kicker to knock the ball in the end zone.  Mitchell Lavelle really developed during last year season due to his hard work. He became productive near the end of the 2ndhalf of the season gaining more leg strength for extra points and field goals.
