North Penn climbs nine spots in the latest High School Football America Pennsylvania Top 25 that is created with our proprietary algorithm. The Knights check-in at No. 9 this week after knocking-off former No. 23 La Salle 21-13.

Another climber this week is Central Dauphin, which jumps from No. 21 to No. 10 after beating former No. 19 Berks Catholic 7-0.

This week, Pittsburgh Central Catholic, which moves from No. 3 to No. 2, plays No. 15 North Allegheny. The Vikings are currently ranked No. 88 in the latest High School Football America 100.

St. Joseph’s Prep remains No. 1 even though the Hawks haven’t played a game yet. SJP, ranked No. 11 in the HSFA 100, had Friday night’s national showdown with then No. 14 St. Frances Academy (Maryland) cancelled by storms in the third quarter with the Hawks trailing 13-7. School officials cancelled the game, which means the game doesn’t get counted in our algorithm.

There are three new teams in the rankings this week — Downingtown East at No. 21, Upper St. Clair at No. 22 and Garnet Valley at 23.
