2015 Outlook: Please let us know the keys about your team on offense, defense and special teams. What are your keys to having a successful year?

Overall, our kids have to buy in to the new coaching staff’s philosophies and systems for us to be successful. Our offensive and defensive scheme is all new for them so the learning process can not be a slow for us to get off to the fast start we hope for in the non league schedule. Furthermore, we lack varsity experience which we hope they can overcome asap. If the players are resilient through adversity and we stay relatively healthy there is no doubt that we can be competitive and win any game on our schedule.

Offense: Everyone needs to be efficient and execute our game plan and system to the best of their abilities. Limit penalties and turnovers. We have two quarterbacks (Marino and Schoenleber) that have varsity experience and need to step up.

We have young wide receivers that can make plays when given the opportunity. Daryl Baldwin has the talent to be a top quality SOL running back if he continues to work as hard as he has this offseason.

The offensive line has some holes that lack varsity experience but with Dudley as our anchor we think they can get the job done.

Depth is a major concern beside the qb and wide receiver position.

Defense: We need to be fast and aggressive in the system we are running. We have a solid defensive line that can compete vs. any offensive front in our division.

Our linebackers lack experience but are strong, fast, and intelligent. Once they get a couple of varsity games under their belt they could be an excellent corps for us. Antaun Lloyd and Daryl Baldwin look solid in the secondary this offseason but lack depth after that.

Need others to step up to fill the voids and depth concerns. If we avoid injury and learn the new system, we can confuse and frustrate any offense we come across.

Special Team: Yondel Dudley is returning as our All League punter. Mason Menhardt will be our kickoff and field goal kicker. He has been excellent and hard working this offseason and see him as a great weapon in our arsenal.

We have multiple competent long snappers including returning starter Brendon O’ Connor. Special teams is a definite strength.
