The season premiere of the 12th Man Show is this Friday, August 31st at 10:30pm. We wanted to update you on a few things to get you ready for the show.

1. Prep Nation Radio has decided to use VOKLE as its broadcasting platform. Previously we have been using USTREAM, but with mixed results. There are a couple of reasons for this change. The first is our chat client, Cover It Live, now charges for every click that is made during a live event. We do not feel right paying for a chat room. The VOKLE platform includes a live chat room for our show. Second, the USTREAM client had annoying ads that would pop up during the show. With VOKLE you will only see an ad at the beginning of your stream. Other features of the VOKLE platform include a live twitter feed, ask the hosts questions separate from the chat room and the ability to watch us either on our facebook timeline page, vokle page or prepnationradio.com. In order to get you ready for our live interactive shows, you will have to sign up for a free account on vokle.com. This will be used to login during our live shows on Friday nights.

2. We will no longer be using aol or yahoo messengers to contact us during shows. We will continue to use facebook, twitter, skype chat, live chat room and our phone as ways to contact the show.

3. The 12th Man Show will be shortened a bit as we will air from 10:30pm to 12:30am each and every Friday night. Previously we were broadcasting to 1am.

4. Probably the biggest change to the network is the absence of Eddie Walker. The Edsel decided it was time for him to step down as co-host of the 12th Man Show. With that said you will be seeing some new faces from time to time in studio to help out. With the new VOKLE platform we can also add in more video hosts from anywhere in the world. Champs Sports Networks Matt Farago is going to help out with the co-hosting duties from the Pittsburgh area.
