District 11 Talk Week 4

Parkland

The Trojans relied on defense and special teams including three interceptions and a long kickoff return as Parkland rallied for the 27-20 win over Nazareth.

Joe Brannan’s 56-yard interception return set up Andre Williams 8-yard touchdown run with 58.8 seconds to go in the game.

Parkland (3-1) travels to Bethlehem to take on Freedom (3-1).

Northampton

The story of the game was Northampton’s defense shutting down Whitehall potent offense. Whitehall had a first and goal right before halftime and the K-Kids stopped three running plays by Whitehall as time ran out of the first half. Northampton shut out Whitehall 21-0.

Northampton scored on the opening kickoff. After 68 yards on nine plays, Chad Fenon scored on a 4-yard run. The K-Kids went up 14-0 at the half when Zach Szoke hit Nick Wilson for the 29-yard score.

Northampton (3-1) travels to Emmaus.

North Schuylkill

North Schuylkill’s defense shut down Schuylkill Haven and on offense they took advantage of three drives inside Haven territory. North Schuylkill won 17-7.

North Schuylkill’s defense limited the Hurricanes to just 98 yards.

North Schuylkill (4-0) travels to Marian Catholic.

Allentown Central Catholic

Quarterback Brendan Nosovitch scored on a 7-yard run in overtime to lift Allentown Central Catholic over Bethlehem Catholic 20-14.

Becahi had the ball first in overtime. On first down Conner Casey fumbled the exchange from center and the Vikings Brad Shaffer recovered the ball.

The Vikings Ian Majczan had a three yard run to setup Nosovitch’s touchdown run, Nosovitch rolled out and went in for the 7-yard winning score.

Allentown Central Catholic (4-0) travels to Nazareth Area (3-1) next Friday night.
