District 11 Talk Week 3

Catasauqua

Catasauqua kept Palisades off balance and held on to the 31-21 win. Senior quarterback Brandon Lesko rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown. He completed 12 of 17 passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns.

Christopher Litzenberger completed 1 of 1 passes for 39 yards and a touchdown.

Catasauqua (3-0) hosts Salisbury Township.

Easton Area

Easton Area relied on their defense in a 14-3 win over Parkland. The Red Rovers defense held Parkland to 92 total yards and six first downs, none in the second half.

Senior Jashaad Gaddy’s 32-yard interception gave the Red Rovers the 7-3 lead at halftime.

Easton Area had 239 total yards of offense.

Easton Area (3-0) hosts Emmaus.

East Stroudsburg South

East Stroudsburg South wore down Scranton, pulling away late for a 43-13 win at Scranton Memorial Stadium.

Senior quarterback Robbie Moyer threw for 302 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 70 yards and a pair of scores.

Senior wide receiver Dan Cason caught 11 passes for 176 yards and two touchdowns.

The Cavaliers had 529 total yards of offense.

East Stroudsburg South (2-1) hosts Pocono Mountain West.

Pottsville

Senior Richie Downey had two interceptions, including a 65-yard return that gave the Crimson Tide a 20-15 win over Blue Mountain.

Matt Shields completed 7 of 16 passes for 157 yards and a touchdown. The Crimson Tide had 242 yards of offense.

Pottsville (2-1) plays at home against Exeter Township.

Allentown Central Catholic

With the win by the Vikings over Liberty 22-7, they move to 3-0. This is the first time since they began 3-0 since the 1997 season.

Vikings quarterback Brendan Nosovitch ran for one score and threw two touchdowns including a 54-yard touchdown pass to Kevin Gulyas in the final minute of the first half that gave them a three-touchdown lead.

Allentown Central Catholic (3-0) hosts Bethlehem Catholic.
