What can be said about Liberty that hasn’t already been said?  Anthony Gonzalez is one heck of a quarterback, and Tim Moncman (82 career victories) has built Liberty into a perennial contender to get to Hershey.  Liberty capped 2008 with its first PIAA football championship, doing so in overtime, making it the second “AAAA” state final to go to an extra session.  Liberty has now posted five straight seasons of 10 wins or more, and won its fifth District 11 championship in school history.  The Hurricanes scored 504 points – the third time they’ve eclipsed that mark in the last four seasons, set a school record for wins in a season (15), and tied its highest national ranking (#21) in the USA-Today’s final installment of the 2008 high school football polls.

Unreal. Coach Moncman and his staff have come a long way. They have created a very successful program at Liberty over the years. The kids work hard on the football field and in the classroom, many things to be proud of. Congrats to all the coaches, players and fans! Well deserved!
