District 4 Talk Week 8

Lewisburg

Lewisburg dominated both lines of scrimmage in the Green Dragons’ first ever win over Mount Carmel 14-7.

Running back Merle Moscarello rushed for 136 yards on 26 carries.

Quarterback Cam Cassels hit Nate Brown out of the backfield for an 80-yard touchdown. Brown rushed for 63 yards.

Lewisburg (7-1) travels to Bloomsburg.

Towanda

Travis Chesla rushed for 149 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns to lead the Black Nights over Athens 37-7.

Chesla went over the 1,000-yard mark for the year in the first half. He scored on a 33-yard run and a 47-yard screen pass from Dakota Roof.

Towanda had 338 yards of offense and Roof completed 4 of 6 passes for 90-yards. He rushed for 64 yards.

Towanda (8-0) hosts Loyalsock.

Hughesville

Junior quarterback DJ Foresman threw four touchdown passes and his Spartans won 41-0 over Bloomsburg.

Foresman completed 7 of 10 passes for 141 yards and four touchdowns. Ethans Showers rushed for 150 yards on 23 carries.

Hughesville (7-1) travels to South Williamsport.
