District 4 Talk

Montoursville

Sophomore quarterback Jacob Jones came into the game after one series. Jones threw two touchdowns and brought the Warriors back from a two touchdown deficit for a convincing 35-13 win over Bloomsburg.

Running back Cody Haupt rushed for 247 yards on 33 carries and four touchdowns. He scored on runs of 69, 2 and 56 yards. He also caught a 16-yard touchdown pass.

Jones completed 5 of 7 passes for 72 yards and two scores.

Montoursville (3-0) travels to Milton Area.

Line Mountain

The Eagles used ball control to run off 65 plays and ate up 31:03 on the clock. Senior fullback Chris Moore led the way with 163 yards on 31 carries. Joey Hukill rushed for 102 yards. The Eagles won 35-19.

Quarterback Marty Beninsky rushed for 98 yards.

Line Mountain (3-0) travels to Newport.

Shikellamy

After being down 7-0 the Braves rallied for a 20-7 win over Mount Carmel. Shikellamy improved to 3-0.

Running back Dominick Wolfe iced the win with a 23-yard touchdown run. Wolfe finished the game rushing for 121 yards on 22 carries.

Shikellamy’s (3-0) next game is at Shamokin.

Wyalusing Valley

Wyalusing Valley took a 12-0 lead over Canton. The Rams fell behind 15-12 with under five minutes to go in the game, but Wyalusing Valley came back to clip Canton 20-15.

Reggie Davis completed 3 of 11 passes for 46 yards. Tucker Allyn had two catches for 27 yards.

Wyalusing Valley (2-1) hosts Wellsboro.
