District 2 Talk Week 12

Northwest Area in a wild one, the Rangers hold off Riverside 40-30 in the PIAA District 2 Class A championship game.
Quarterback Jeff Moss passed for 70 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 72 yards and one score.
Bret Rutkoski led the way rushing with 117 yards on 19 carries and two scores.
Northwest Area had 316 yards of total offense.
Northwest Area (9-3) vs. Southern Columbia (8-4)
Abington Heights
The Comets rushed for 351 yards in a 35-6 win over Dallas Area for the PIAA District 2 Class 3A title.
Running backs Paul Gallagher and James Freuhan led the way. Gallagher rushed for 232 yards on 19 carries and two touchdowns. Freuhan added 108 yards on 16 carries and two touchdowns.
Abington Heights (11-1) vs. Allentown Central Catholic (11-1)
Dunmore
Dunmore defeated Lakeland 35-8 to win the PIAA District 2 Class 2A championship.
Running back Michael Perry rushed for 105 yards on 14 carries and two scores. Frank Santarsiero added 64 yards and one score.
Dunmore head coach Jack Henzes collapsed on the sidelines during the second quarter. Henzes was taken to Mercy Hospital where he was being evaluated.
Henzes is ranked second in the state history with 340 wins. His record of 340-144-6 is behind former head coach George Curry.
